Quail Creek is one of North Naples' original estate golf communities, and it wears its age as an advantage. Developed in the early 1980s off Immokalee Road, it is a low-density community of large homesites — on the order of 300 homes spread across roughly 865 acres — wrapped around two 18-hole championship courses run by the member-owned Quail Creek Country Club. Where many newer communities pack homes tightly around a single course, Quail Creek gives its houses room: big lots, mature landscaping, and long golf-and-lake views. For a buyer who wants space and an established country-club setting rather than a brand-new master-planned feel, that low density is the whole appeal.
There is one point of confusion worth clearing up before anything else, because it trips up buyers regularly: Quail Creek Country Club is not the same as Quail Creek Village. This guide covers the estate community — the gated, large-lot neighborhood on streets like Pond Apple Drive, Bald Cypress Lane and Valewood Drive. Quail Creek Village is a separate, smaller and denser community nearby, with its own association, its own price points, and its own rules. The names are similar enough that listings and even locals blur them, so if you are shopping here, confirm which community a specific address actually belongs to.
The golf and the neighborhood are run by two different bodies, which matters when you read the paperwork. The Quail Creek Property Owners Association governs the residential community, while the member-owned Quail Creek Country Club operates the two courses (the Quail Course and the Creek Course), the clubhouse and dining. That structure is common at established country-club communities, but it means a buyer weighs two things: the POA that sets the community's rules and budget, and a separate club membership if golf is part of the plan.
On governance, Quail Creek is about as clearly resident-controlled as a community gets. The property owners association has existed since 1981, the original developer left decades ago, and the current board is made up of individual homeowners — we confirmed that the association's president and treasurer are owner-occupants at Quail Creek addresses on Bald Cypress Lane and Pond Apple Drive, not developer or management-company staff. The association routes its official mail through a professional management firm, which is normal for an established HOA and not a sign of outside control. In plain terms, the people who set the rules and the budget live here and have for a long time.
A note on the data below. The mapped boundary is drawn from the county's parcels for the Quail Creek estate plats specifically, which is why it cleanly excludes the neighboring communities (Longshore Lake, Huntington Lakes and Quail Creek Village) that surround it. Because it is drawn from parcels rather than a single recorded plat line, and because this is a large-lot community interwoven with two golf courses, the parcel count reflects that whole footprint. Everything else — evacuation and flood zones, who provides water and power, trash days, and the nearest schools, hospitals and parks — is pulled from Collier County and utility sources and stamped with where each number came from.
